Click here the to read a story about a lesbian woman who died alone. Her partner and children were denied access to seeing her by the hospital, even with a power of attorney present and a living will stating the partner as the one to make legal decisions regarding her life. As the woman was dying, the hospital staff wouldn't even let the children in to see their dying mother. They wouldn't even keep her informed as to her condition.

This is still happening? To me, this is a profound breach of humanity. It's simply inhumane.

News about DJ and Dan

This is the first entry to the Loren Jenner blog! I would like to use thisblog as a news feed source. As I hear of GLBT-related news, I will post short summaries of the stories, along with the source, here. Let's see, what should we call it? If you have any ideas, send them my way!

The first story I would like to mention involves two gay men in Salt Lake City. It seems their neighbors are charging one of the men, DJ Bell, with kidnapping, but DJ stated that the children sought refuge at their house. DJ and Dan were then beaten up by a mob that broke into their house. No assault charges have been filed against the attackers. To read more about the story, go to:

The Salt Lake City Weekly

Also, DJ and Dan have started a website/blog that you can follow as the trial proceeds.
